In all other U.S. states and the District of Columbia, MBANC originates loans only for business or investment purposes — for example, loans secured by non-owner-occupied residential investment property such as DSCR rental-property loans. Business-purpose credit is exempt from consumer-mortgage licensing requirements under the federal Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z, 12 C.F.R. § 1026.3(a)(1). MBANC does not offer consumer (owner-occupied) mortgage loans in those states.
MBANC does not currently originate loans in Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota — for any purpose. We would rather say so here than after an application.
